Modern family is a mockumentary structured comedy series about the lives of three interconnected families living in Los Angeles. Jay Pritchett is an older wealthy man married to a much younger Colombian, Gloria who has a young son, Manny. Their age gap contributes much to the story line. They later have a young son together, Joe. Claire Dunphy (Jay’s daughter) is married to Phil Dunphy, a goofy, fun loving dad. They have three children, Hailey, Alex and Luke. They have different opposing personalities. Mitchell Pritchet (Jay’s son) is a lawyer. He has a partner, Cameron Tucker, a theatrical stay at home dad. They adopt a daughter, Lily from Vietnam and later in the season get married.
The series spans over eleven seasons. Their different principles and conflicting personalities make a great addition to the story. They grow, mature and adapt to new life stages. The series will leave you in tears. They stay close and supportive of each other. The show portrays their relationship struggles, cultural clashes, career changes, parenting challenges and growing pains.
