The 2005 bewitched movie is a modern twist of the original 1960s Bewitched TV series. The movie is about a young witch, Isabel Bigelow who decides to move to earth to be independent. She decides she will not use magic to solve her problems even after constant convincing by her father. She uses magic a few times to acquire a house, car and other various household items.
On the other side of Hollywood, an actor, Jack Wyatt is cast to play Darrin in the remake of the Bewitched TV show. He decides to search for an unknown and beautiful actress to play Samantha to avoid being overshadowed and be the star of the show. He casts Isabel after finding her in a coffee shop and discovering that her mannerisms are similar to the character Samantha.
Isabel falls for Jack during the production but after accidentally overhearing Jack’s private conversation with his manager she accidentally puts a love portion on him. This interferes with the production and their relationship. She releases him from the love spell. They later fall in love naturally. Jack eventually discovers her true nature and accepts her as a witch. They navigate fame, magic and love together.
