WALKING IN WISDOM

Scripture : Colossians 4:5-6

Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one

Introduction

Bible says in Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding

In everyday today living, requires wise choices and decisions to attain  successful and, most importantly peaceful life.

That is reason, scripture says wisdom is a principal thing.

Main Subject:  Walking in Wisdom

Apostle Paul loved the brethren in Colossae (that is Colossian church) when he was admonishing them he gave them wise counsel on living a sound spiritual life full of prayer and wisdom.

*Colossians 4 verses 5* *Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time* (NKJV)

Paul who was a father to those who were at Colossae, he tells them to walk in wisdom towards those who are outside (non believers), redeeming time.

Walking in wisdom, means living life with high standards; in thoughts, speech, behavior and actions. A believer should show wisdom all round in life so that we can redeem time.

Today, as we reflect our lives this morning, lets check our lives, how do we live towards the outsiders? Non believers would observe more your behavior, actions and listen to your speech. Do you walk in wisdom?

Walking in wisdom will display godliness in you or will show wickedness in you. If goodliness prevail, time will be redeemed for love of God to spread more faster, wider and deeper for many to change their lives and receive Jesus as savior.

If wickedness prevail, time will be wasted to spread the love of God, and many get lost in sin.

It is a personal and also collective challenge to walk in wisdom as believers for it will redeemed time for good and good of others.

*Conclusion* :

*Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.  Therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless, but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is.* *Ephesians 5:15-17* *Amplified Version*

*Prayer of today*
