Chirywrites

That scripture says (Proverbs 21:9) that it is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop than with a brawling woman in a wide house. Well, today I finally got it. I was in the unfortunate situation of listening to a woman rant, and for a moment I thought I was going to explode. Hear me out. She was very loud and very aggressive in a language I don’t understand. Now the gentleman—well,  i am calling him that because he really was calm. Imagine he didn’t say a single word, even when she paused to grasp air after 34 straight minutes of talking. You know that my gender is a special breed because how do you talk for 34 minutes nonstop? Don’t tell me she was talking to him because his silence was very loud. She paused for half a minute, then continued like she never stopped. After twenty minutes, I had come to the conclusion that there is something wrong with people who do things like this. One, it’s a public place; two,  the person in question is very disinterested; and finally, she didn’t even get a solution because he didn’t say a single word. After she left, it was like a storm had just ended. Oh my,the peace and quiet, oh the normalcy, as there was no high-pitched sound in the atmosphere. There is a special place in heaven for people who find solutions to things rather than just yell. Personally, I really love peace; chaos turns me off completely.
Ironically, I am still very proud of her; she got it out of her system. She expressed herself, and I truly hope she felt better. She deserves to feel better after that. She deserved to be heard, and I hope the gentleman heard at least one thing. Because of his silence, he was too silent.
This year, may we preserve our energy and protect our aura. May we approach things better, may we look at our choices, and may we think about consequences. May we love ourselves enough to know what is worth it and what isn’t. Happy New Year!
