The date is July 4th, and people in their golden years are getting money today. That phrase that says, “With age comes wisdom” is really true for these people. They are pissed because, well, they have been here since morning, and trust me when I say they look really tired. The systems have been down, and now that they are okay, the people serving them have left. My generation would be out here causing chaos if it were us. The generation after my own wouldn’t even be quite through all of this. But these people are calm, and those of us who came with them can’t even say anything because they are out here sharing wisdom. A man with no hair at all on his head has said it’s very easy to insult these people. However, you can insult them, and maybe the mistake isn’t theirs. What happens then? The insults will come back to you, and your old age cannot handle the consequences. They have all agreed that it is a bad idea. I now understand how they have been here since morning. Is it fair? Absolutely not,but they have decided to be patient. I think this explains the chaos we have today because this kind of patience isn’t there today. A son has even told his mom that he can bring her home then bring her tomorrow. She has told him to be patient and wait to see if she is okay. She also doesn’t look okay. She looks like she’s about to fall. Because he has no choice, he has told her to sit down so he can queue for her. She looks relieved but is still patient. It is 3 p.m., and I won’t understand how they are still hopeful. I also don’t understand why they can’t withdraw from agents. Next time, escort your grandparents so you can queue for them. Even when they say no, just go with them and don’t ask them for money; let them enjoy their pension. The golden years can be the best and the worst, depending on your offspring. If they care for you, they will queue for you, and if they don’t, they will not even accompany you anywhere.
