Walk away from disrespect

Walk away from disrespect

You don’t argue or become distant in response to disrespect.Avoid becoming overly sentimental or descending into drama.Just take a step back. They will sense it, and word will spread that you are unavailable for dishonor. You don’t haggle about your minimal requirements.By taking a step back, you compel the other person to decide sooner whether they will treat you well and keep you or keep treating you badly and lose you.

It lets them know that you’ve already made the decision to leave if you’re not treated fairly. The connection now rests on their decision.

It is self-care to refuse to be treated in a demeaning manner. You must never allow someone to believe that you are unable to go because of this. They won’t have as much motivation to treat you fairly because they know you will always accommodate their behaviour.Being treated with respect ought to be the standard if you are a courteous person yourself.
