Alexander the Great was born during the year 356 BC in Macedonia. He left a mark on history as one of the most notable military leaders ever. Even though he ascended to his throne at 20, he wasted no time with his relentless campaign.
This person’s empire expanded rapidly when under their command. From Greece to Egypt and Persia, they acquired so much land it was hard to keep track. His charisma and leadership inspired troops to take on epic journeys into land they didn’t even know existed.
He wasn’t just a conqueror though, he wanted to bridge cultures by blending Greek and Persian customs which encouraged cooperation in his subjects regardless of where they come from. And that’s exactly what happened.
Unfortunately this great leader died at the age of 32, but that didn’t stop him from leaving behind a monumental legacy that fueled an era of Hellenistic civilization. Art, science and philosophy all still benefit from what he’s done today. His story alone can captivate anyone’s attention simply due to his vision and ambition.
