THE HEAVIEST LOAD YOU NEED TO DROP IN ORDER TO RISE

THE HEAVIEST LOAD YOU NEED TO DROP IN ORDER TO RISE

Are you at a point in your life where you feel like you have nowhere else to go but up? Others telling you, “its okay, you need to chill” but deep down you know that  something has to be done? Do you feel like you could be doing so much better than you are but have no explanation as to why you are not? Well these thoughts arise because something is lacking and it needs to be fixed ASAP. You can lie to everyone else but yourself.

We see and use planes quite often but do we understand the engineering that goes into building planes? The average plane’s weight ranges from 150 to 220 tons. Thats very heavy. the reason planes are able to fly is because research has is being done to ensure planes become lighter but retain their power. They are made of mostly aluminim alloy, a lighter but strong metal and there is usually a weight limit to the luggage you can bring on a plane. The tiniest efforts just to make the plane lighter. Supercars like Lamborghinins and McLarens have some of the most powerful, hence heavy engines, therefore a lot of effort is made to make sure the car does not carry unneccessary weight,(like using of carbon fibre parts) plus all the areodynamics, this results on some really fast cars.

What can you learn from planes and supercars? The lesson here is that you have to get rid of what is weighing you down if you want to make progress, unneccessary baggage. This is a saying that has been repeated a lot of times that it is almost becoming a cliche. You probably hear it a lot but do you understand it?

A ship can only sink because of the water that gets inside of it, not the water around it.

Whatever is weighing you down exists inside of you and the heaviest of them all is your mind. Lets take a closer look, You are not lazy, your brain is used to relaxing all day and doing easy tasks; you hate math beause you think math is difficult even tough there are students excelling in your class or you are overweight and want to get in shape but you fear that others may make fun of you. All decisions are made in the brain but the easy ones are more recommended by your mind.

Since your brain is is used to getting whatever it wants, it starts to make up excuses and you eventually end up taking the easy route of self assurance; by saying that it is okay, saying that you will die anyways so why waste time. All this time your body has done nothing, it is your brain making all the decisions. You have not even taken your chances but you have already convinced yourself that you’ll still fail so you fail before you even start. All actions you do are dictated by your brain. So in order to drop what is weighing you down, first you must master your brain. Know when it is trying to convince you against whats actually good for you. Most of the time, whatever is good for you is difficult and boring. Being able to control your mind fully is a task that will require years of practise to perfect but if you start immediately and become better at it with time, then you are unstoppable. David Goggins knows this best.

Learning to control your mind is one of the most difficult skills and equally the most rewarding. It is like the mother of every other skill. This is like controlling the super-computer that controls all the other computers in the world-your body being the world. Your mind makes all the decisions and dictates all your actions. If you are down and unfulfilled with your life, the only way out is changing your mindset, this will change your actions and eventually bring out different results.

This is something that I practise and fail a lot at myself. The good thing is that the more you try, the better you get at it. So you might as well try and fail foward.

That is literlaly the key that can unlock any door.

What an interesting article! It is well known that our brains are designed to use as little energy as possible hence it tends to make excuses instead of trying to carry out tasks that are considered ‘difficult’. Training our minds into doing difficult tasks is the only way to grow as an individual and with time the difficult tasks become relatively easy.
